Print Options
In Leo Gold, the user can print horoscopes in different sizes such as Pocket Size’,
‘Book Size’ and ‘File Size’ or any other user defined size on different printers
in different printing modes, orientation along with the facility of center/side
stapple etc. The user can define own paper type by specifying orientation, paper
height, paper width and its left, top, bottom & right margins depending on the
type of stationary he/she is using. The user can also specify total number of pages
per paper, horoscope to be printed on single side or both side etc. The user can
save the paper layout in the database by pressing Save Button.

Print Option Screen
In Leo Gold there are printer settings already defined for so many printers for
basic paper sizes (Pocket, Book & File).
However, if your printer is not present in the list of printer type, then you may
define (by pressing Add button) the printer and specify the dimensions and adjustments
and other parameters of different paper sizes or alternatively you can change values
of any other printer available in the list box and specify dimensions etc. of your
printer and use it by saving these values.
Suppose you have a printer named HP Deskjet 610C printer at your place from which
you want to print horoscope and the printer let’s say is not present in the list
of printers. Let us now add a new printer ‘HP Deskjet 610 C Printer’ and define
‘Pocket Size’ paper type. Press ‘Add’ button in the ‘Print Options Screen’ as shown
in the figure Print option screen ‘Printer Type’ and ‘Paper type fields will become
blank. Now specify Printer Type as ‘HP Deskjet 610C’ and Paper type as ‘Pocket’.
While defining the paper type choose appropriate page size (Whether this paper type
belongs to Full Size, Medium Size or Small Size) refer figure Print option screen.
Now specify the paper width, paper height according to the stationary you are using.
Here we have taken the paper height to be 180mm and paper width to be 130 mm (as
shown in the figure Paper height/width, margins & orientation options). This
may vary from printer to printer. and may also vary on the size of the End Page
specified in the Astrologers Master. Therefore, if any problem occurs during printing,
you may adjust values of the printer till you get the desired result. Therefore,
you may take the values of a nearer printer defined in the list by noting down the
values. For example HP 610C printer

Paper height/width, margins & orientation options
is similar to 670C printer and HP LJ 1100 is similar to HP LJ 6L etc. Now you have
to specify left, right, top and bottom margins for the pocket size paper type. For
defining pocket size paper type for HP Deskjet 610C printer we have taken left as
8 mm right as 2 mm, top as 8 mm and bottom as 1 mm. We have also defined two pages
per paper for pocket size paper type.As soon as you change these values, the printing
area is automatically calculated by the program.
You can now specify the orientation of the horoscope to be printed. For 'Pocket
Size' horoscope we have taken the orientation to be 'Landscape' according to our
stationary we are using. In this case, printing will be done horizontally i.e. two
pages will be printed one adjacent to the other. In case of Portrait, two pages
printed one after the other vertically.
In pocket size stationary we can print two pages on both the sides of the paper,
therefore, we have selected the printing mode to be ‘Both Side’. The user has the
facility to print the model in single side and in both sides (Fig.orientation).

Orientation/Print Mode
Since different printers feeds the paper in different ways, for example, in case
if the paper size is smaller than the normal A-4 size paper, Laser printer normally
feeds the paper from Center and Deskjet/Inkjet printer feeds that paper from extreme
right side. Since we are defining ‘Pocket Size’ paper type which is smaller than
normal A-4 size, there is a need to specify Width & Height option from ‘Auto
Adjust Width’ and ‘Auto Adjust Height’ as shown in the figure Auto Adjust Width/Height.

Auto Adjust Width/Height
Now suppose, your printer ‘HP Deskjet 610C’ feeds the paper from extreme right
side of the printer. Click on ‘Right’ from ‘No’, ‘Left’ and ‘Right’ options available
Now suppose, your printer ‘HP Deskjet 610C’ feeds the paper from extreme right side
of the printer. Click on ‘Right’ from ‘No’, ‘Left’ and ‘Right’ options available
and ‘Extreme’ from ‘Center’ and ‘Extreme’ options as shown in the figure Auto Adjust
Width/Height. Similarly, for Height settings, click on ‘Down’ option out of ‘No’,
‘Up’ and ‘Down’ and ‘Extreme’ from ‘Center’ and ‘Extreme’ options available.
When you select these settings ‘Left’ or ‘Right’ & ‘Up’ or Down’, Adjustments
in mm are automatically calculated in the ‘Adjustments’ box (Figure).

Adjustment Box
Since there are so many printers available in the market, it is quite possible that
these settings still doesn’t give you the exact output, you desire. Therefore, you
may directly change these values in the ‘Adjustment Box’ slightly to adjust these
‘Right’ or ‘Down’ settings for the printer till you get the exact printout of the
horoscope.
If you are printing the horoscope in both sides of the paper and wants to staple
these papers from center then select ‘Center Staple’ option as shown in the figure
Side/ Center Staple options.

Side/ Center Staple options
There are also two very useful option called ‘Draw’ and 'Stack' in the Print Options
(Figure 6.1.7).
There are two options for both. One is 'Top'' and other is 'Bottom'. These 'Top'
and 'Bottom' Options vary from printer to printer. Lets first understand the meaning
of 'Draw' and 'Stack'.
Draw:- It means picking the paper for printing.
Stack:- It means storing pages after printing.
Only 4 probabilities are there for any kind of printer i.e.
Draw Stack
Top Top
Top Bottom
Bottom Top
Bottom Bottom
Draw Top
Draw Top means printer picks up the top most paper from the bunch of papers for
ptinting.
Draw Bottom
Draw Bottom means printer picks up the bottom most paper from the bunch of papers
for printing.
Stack Top
Stack Top means after printing one page the printed page drops in the tray and the
printed side will be on top.
Stack Bottom
Stack Bottom
means after printing one page the printed page drops in the tray and the blank side
will be on top.

Draw/Stack/Line Spacing Options
All these 4 options given above are based on drawing and stacking behaviour of printers.
The requirement of selecting stack and draw option is to ensure that the printing
sequence generated by the software is OK and the user does not have to change or
shuffle papers in order to arrange it in a proper manner before binding.
Let us take an example of printing Pocket Size horoscope in both sides from a Lazer
Printer. If after printing the papers are stacked ( collected ) in the upper tray
of the printer then stack option will be 'Bottom'. And if the papers are collected
in the lower tray then stack option will be 'Top'. As drawing of pages in 'Hp Lazerjet
6L' is from 'Top' i.e. it picks up the topmost paper from the bunch of papers for
printing, the 'Draw' option will be 'Top'. Let's say we have to print 'S1' model
which contains 16 pages and option for 'Draw' is 'Top' and option for 'Stack' is
'Bottom' as shown in the figure Draw/Stack/Line Spacing Options.
Sequence of Side 1 are
16,1
14,3
12,5
10,7
After One side printing the sequence of side 2 will be
8,9
6,11
4,13
2,15
After completion of printing you can now bind it in the way you desired.
You may also see the sequencing of how the pages will be printed page by page and
which page will appear after the other from the sequencing box as shown in figure
Draw/Stack/Line Spacing Options
There is also an option of defining printer line gap as shown in figure Draw/Stack/Line
Spacing Options. wherein one can specify line gap according to a specific printer.
In case of some printers, we observe that the last line of a particular page (such
as Birth Details Page) is not appearing. In this case we have to reduce line spacing
a bit according to our printer. We may use this option and solve any printing problem
from here.
After defining paper type of your own, you can now press ‘Save’ button to save the
layout and other information. In the same way you can also edit a particular paper
type. Select a paper type and simply edit the values and press ‘Save’ button. You
can delete a specific paper type by selecting a specific paper type from the paper
type list box and pressing Delete.
You may also print horoscopes on a dot matrix printer by selecting Dot Matrix -11
and Dot Matrix-12 paper sizes, if you have 11 inch or 12 inch stationary respectively.
You can use continuous stationary to print the horoscope with these paper types.
